We all know that the one true God who revealed Himself by the revelatory of His word is faithful and true! And He who revealed Himself through the divine revelation of His Son Jesus is our refuge and fortress, according to scripture.
Scripture utters through such veracity and candidness concerning things past, present, and future! Using the genres of scripture in a plenary way to convey His word to humanity. God receded for us through scripture the ability to see things down the road. We call this Prophecy! However, every so often we faint and become discouraged when we cannot see things the way we want them to materialize.
We fight and buffet to fix some stuff only to make a complete mess of things. The caveat behind this rationale is that we become depressed and broken when our efforts fail.
There are myriads of Scripture proof texts that admonishes the Believer to trust God. The quintessential example of this are the Psalmists in Psalm 46. The sons of Korah came to a foregone conclusion that their trust must unequivocally rest in Jehovah. Some of our worldly methods are counterintuitive to our spiritual accrue as it relates to our spiritual growth. Psalm 46:1-11, “God is our Refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore, will not we fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea; Though the waters thereof roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with the swelling thereof. Selah.”
There is a river, the streams whereof shall make glad the city of God, the holy place of the Tabernacle of the Most High. God is in the midst of her; she shall not be moved: God shall help her, and that right early.
The heathen raged, the kingdoms were moved: He uttered His voice, the earth melted. The LORD of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our Refuge. Selah. Come, behold the works of the LORD, what desolations He hath made in the earth. He maketh wars to cease unto the end of the earth; He breaketh the bow, and cutteth the spear in sunder; He burneth the Chariot in the fire. BE STILL AND KNOW THAT I AM GOD; I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth. The LORD of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our Refuge. Selah.”
Need I say more? When we come to the conclusion within our minds that God is indeed our Refuge and Strength. Then it will be intuitive for all of us to be still and know that He is God!
