PASTOR KAROL and GLENYS ROACHE

This coming Sunday, September 9 will be an exciting day in the lives of pastor Karol Roache and Glenys Roache and the members of New Horizon Worship Centre (NHWC) as Pastor Roache will be officially installed as Senior Pastor of this new ministry.

Under the theme, “The Heart of a Shepherd,” the installation service will be held at Jubilee Cathedral, at 3:00 p.m. Bishop Godfrey Williams of St. John’s will be the speaker and the installation ceremony would be conducted by Rev. Elvis Burrows from Central Zion Baptist Church, Eight Mile Rock.

Pastor Roache has been serving in ministry for the past 28 years. He began as a Youth Director at Unity of Christ Assembly then a Minister at Christian Faith Fellowship where he was ordained in March of 1994. Pastor Roache joined Freeport Bible Church in 1997 and was installed as Associate Pastor in 1999. He served faithfully as Associate Pastor of Freeport Bible Church for 18 years from, January 1999 to March 2017 and Interim Senior Pastor for one year, March 2017 to May 2018.

This past July, Pastor Roache and Sis. Roache took a leap of faith to start a new ministry, New Horizon Worship Centre, which was officially launched on July 29, 2018. Built on the cornerstone of prayer and dependence on the Holy Spirit, the Vision of the church is: “Know Christ, Grow in Christ, Glow in Christ, Go for Christ.” Its mission is, “To be Empowered by the Holy Spirit, Sustained by Prayer to Make Disciples for Christ.”

The Core Values of NHWC are:
Holiness
Oneness
Prayer
Excellence
Since its establishment in July, NHWC has been growing and attracting new members. They have held two baptismal ceremonies and just this past Sunday, 157 persons were inducted in the church’s first membership service.

Humbled by all that God has been doing, Pastor Roache said, “All the credit for this ministry goes to our Lord, Jesus Christ. He is the Architect and Builder of the church. We simply have made a commitment that this church will be a House of Prayer; this church will depend on the Holy Spirit for its ministries and this church will be an Oasis of Love, Hope and Transformation.”

NHWC has been holding services for the past two months at Pelican Bay Hotel, on Sunday mornings at 9:00. There will be no morning service this coming Sunday, September 9, 2018 due to the installation ceremony being held at 3:00 that afternoon at Jubilee Cathedral. Morning services will resume on Sunday September 16 at 9:00 a.m. at a new location, The Royal Palm Room at Grand Lucayan Hotel.

The leaders and members of NHWC are inviting the entire community of Grand Bahama to celebrate with them on this grand occasion as pastor Karol Roache is officially installed as senior pastor.
