Merriam – Webster Learner’s Dictionary Definition of Metaphor: A word or phrase for one thing that is used to refer to another thing in order to show or suggest that they are similar. An allegory, parable or an analogy.
About a month ago while hanging some clothes on the line when suddenly, I began to pray out loud from the book of Isaiah Chapter 54 verse 17 “ No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of me, saith the LORD.” There was an unsettling presence behind me then as I turned around: Its green eyes stared and seemingly said, I cannot stand the sight of you! I charged defiantly but it would not move, so politely, I reached from within to get one of my weapons. He broke off running and as he reached the two leaved gate, he looked back in wonder and amazement. It was a big black cat and I did not give it much thought but this past weekend as I was attempting to do a deep down cleaning on my front porch. As the bleach was poured on to the concrete: A black bat began to surround me; bees tried to sting me. I turned around and found that a large spider was making dash board speed directly at me but was trampled. Just before completion, my hand brushed against something and it leaped from the tree by the front gate. It was a large frog and it seemed highly upset so much so that it did a U-turn and faced me with eyes glaring, it’s eyes spoke, Who are you, and how dare you disturb us from our abode? The broom in my hand became a rod and as I sung it at the frog, I said, I occupy this gate and in the name of Jesus Christ: Get out of my yard! The frog tried to go back into the tree but clearly, it was afraid and ran for its life.
Yahweh, the God who has redeemed us from all the power of the Adversary asked Job during what was his most agonizing moments if he had commanded his morning, from the book of Job Chapter 38 verse (12) “Has thou commanded the morning since thy days; and caused the dayspring to know his place,” Verse (13) “that it might take the earth by the edges and shake the wicked out of it?” There was a fierce battle raging in the Heavens that Job was completely unaware of even though he was an upright man and I submit to you that Abba, Father’s people are engaged in this battle daily. A cry can be heard in the realm of the Spirit, calling for all Commanders of the Morning, Gate Keepers of the Cities, Watchmen on the Wall and all Prayer Intercessors to Man your Post! Satan and his cohorts are having a field day in our homes, schools, on our jobs and sadly in congregations all across the globe. Parents and children are hurting, school teachers are getting stressed out. Many are losing hope all because (please excuse my expression) we are being sucker punched by the onslaught of Satan’s tactics! I say, enough is enough! The slumber, carelessness, passiveness, being at ease must cease. In fact we, the people of Yahweh must repent for allowing the gates to our cities to be broken down, the prayer wall? Where are prayer walls and when was the last time did we command the morning? Is it therefore no surprise that the wicked are prospering in their wickedness, while the people of God remain silent? Can you not hear the urgent cry in the realm of the Spirit: Wake up, Commanders of the Morning, Gate Keepers, Watchmen on the Wall, Prayer Intercessors, Man your Post? Is it not better for us to obey God? Is it possible that we as God’s people, have become like King Saul when he lied to Samuel about obeying the LORD’s instructions? Let’s read 1 Samuel Chapter 15 beginning from verse (13) “And Samuel came to Saul: and Saul said unto him, blessed be thou of the LORD: I have performed the commandment of the LORD.” Saul kept on insisting that he had obeyed the voice of the LORD when he knew, he had only partially done so, which is disobedience, (during your leisure, please read the entire chapter of 1 Samuel 15) Verse (22) “And Samuel said, Hath the LORD as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the LORD? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams.” Verse (23) “For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry. Because thou hast rejected the word of the LORD, he hath also rejected thee from being king.” Are we obeying the voice of people instead of taking heed to the Word of God?
The encounter with the black cat in my back yard reminded me of the first time I stepped there for I had not been there for a lengthy period of time. A very large white and grey cat stared me down and when I commanded him to leave, his eyes said, I have never seen you here before, who are you, and what are you doing out here? I had been absent from my Post and the front gate was kept locked and I did not open it but the urgent cry from the realm of the Spirit alerted me to unlock the front gate and clean the front porch. The moment I poured the bleach onto the concrete it awakened the bats, the bees, and as some spilled over the edges, the spider became very angry and came at me. The frog was furious, he was so comfortable, and he thought that he owned the gate. One particular bird tried desperately to call for reinforcement but the broom was transformed into a rod and chased it away. As I reached for one of my weapons from within, and pulled out the double Edged Sword, the big black cat ran as fast as it could and before making its exit, looked at me in wonder and amazement. The two Edged Sword which is The Word of God, dealt with him. Can you not hear the Urgent Cry from the realm of the Spirit? Wake up! Wake up, Commanders of the Morning, Wake up, Gatekeepers of the Cities, Wake up, Watchmen on the Wall, Wake up, Prayer Intercessors and Man your Post!
