I… fear foreign bankers

Matthew 25:27 - “Well then, you should have put my money on deposit with the bankers, so that when I returned I would have received it back with interest.”

I recently went to make a rather substantial deposit with my bankers. I have been with them since age 15, when my father, Rupert Eardley Archer Moss, introduced me to the importance of saving my money. However, when I requested the use of a restroom, the manager himself denied me access on security purposes. There were over 100 persons in the bank at the time. Surely a public place, like a big bank should provide public restroom facilities?

The Bible to me, is about the following acronym SPACE:
S - Sex
P - Purpose and Place
A - Abundance and prosperity
C - Children and family
E - Enterprise and acquisition

Sex - Adam knew his wife
Cain knew his wife
Seth knew his wife
In other words all first humans were fruitful and had many children

Purpose or Place - “The right place, at the right time, with the right person.” Abraham was ordered by God to leave his place of birth and go to the PLACE where his real purpose for living and being born was. It would make him a “Father of Many”

Dr. Myles Munroe emphasized purpose in his writings.

Dr. Mike Murdock emphasizes place in his books.

Abundance and prosperity - My favorite New Testament verse is John 10:10 and my second favorite is 3 John verse 2. Read them for yourselves and see what the HOLY SPIRIT says to your spirit.

Children and family - God “YAAHWEH” wanted a family and therefore the Virgin Mary had a child - a son - the SON OF GOD. Psalm 127 spells this out in detail, advising having many children, and having them in your young days.

Enterprise and Acquisition - We are exhorted to do numbers of things by Solomon, but Ecclesiastes gives the prime thing. - It states “see life with the wife whom you love all the days of your vain life…all else is vanity.

Now that we have laid a solid foundation, let us read Matthew 25:25 “So I grew afraid; I went off and hid your (my money) talent in the ground.” Fear of failure has caused Bahamian lack of confidence in themselves and their abilities – BLACK= LACK.

My father was one of the seven men who formed the People’s Penny Savings Bank. After early success and developing three branches, the bank was brought down by the ‘Perennial Bahamian problem’ – spend, spend, spend, not save - save - save.

Deposits, not withdrawals, is the key to financial success. We live a Hollywood lifestyle and mentality on a Hawksbill salary.

But worst of all, we put our very life blood; our lifeline of finance and future in the hands of foreign bankers and banks. I do not trust them! Do you?
