Clarion Call Pt. 3: ‘You Have A Second Chance’

Second chance, is defined as having another opportunity to correct things. you my beloved brothers and sisters, have been granted a second chance! You are that one person that has committed a sin, either in mind or physically; you are that one who is sick. YES! You have a second chance which is given by the Creator of Heaven and Earth.

Romans 12:1-2: “I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but ye be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye prove what is that good, and acceptable, perfect, will of God.”

In the word of God, you can find many of persons that have sinned against God; committed crimes and have still received a second chance by the Grace of God, but I am now to encourage you and tell you, that you too have that chance. Let’s jump right into it today!

Do you remember Saul better known as Paul? Paul, was the fella that was in charge of killing or murdering all of the Christian believers. The Bible states, that one day as he was journeying on his way to “do-the-regular”, he was stricken by a bright light and the voice of the Lord spoke to him. And after some time, to make the story short, his name was changed from Saul to Paul. This man, began to preach the Word of God. This signifies his second chance. A murderer to those that believed in Christ, a second chance.

You might ask, ‘What does this have to do with you, if you’re not a murderer?’ I’m glad you asked. This illustration represents a fresh start, new beginning. His name was changed! Along with his characteristics and everything about him. Some of you, your name won’t change, but your life will. Once there is Christ in you. Just like Saul, you have done some things that God does not appreciate, like: sealing, lying, adultery, fornicating, gambling, worshipping idols, bearing false witness and so much more, but you have a second chance to make it right.

‘You have a second chance!’ When I heard this in my spirit, I said ‘Lord, what are you saying?’ The Lord said to tell you, my reader today: You Have A Second Chance.

Another illustration that shows a second chance, is the story about ‘the woman with the issue of blood,’ which can be found in Luke 8:43-48. The word of God states that there was a woman who was bleeding for 12 years, nonstop. The woman spent all of her funds. It then goes on to say that as Jesus was passing through the crowd that she touched the hem of His garment. And immediately, she was made whole.

Jesus then realized that virtue has left Him, so the question was then asked, ‘Who touched me?’ After a while, she came to Him and said that it was her that touched Him. She then told him why she touched Him and Jesus in return, said, “Daughter, be of good comfort thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace.” You might ask again, what does this have to do with you. Well! there are a number of you that are facing sickness; death-sentences; depression; abuse and even with a broken heart. It is my job to tell you that there is a second chance waiting for you.

My pastor, Senior Pastor Reginald Bastian of The New Higher Anointed Christian Faith Ministries, said something very profound a little while back, which is, “Life and breath is given through Jesus Christ. Life is given when we received Jesus as Lord and Savior. You must allow God to do the recreation of your lives.”

Today, as some of you have been given names by other persons, which are negative; received bad comments from doctors or others. I want to encourage you to allow God to take complete control of your lives.

The following is a prayer that I would love for you to say out loud today: Dear Lord, I come before you boldly. Lord I want to first thank you for this day that you have given unto us.
