Men’s national team competes overseas

In softball, the Men’s National Team has gone 0-4 in competition. The Bahamas dropped their CAC Games opener to the Dominican Republic, 6-0 back on July 27. They then fell 4-0 to Venezuela back on July 28, followed up by a loss to Mexico, 11-4 on July 29. They dropped this past Monday’s contest to Cuba, 7-0.

The National Men’s Softball Team was scheduled to compete yesterday against Guatemala, but that contest was delayed and those results were not known up to press time.

The Men’s National Basketball Team dropped two straight games this past Sunday and Monday. They lost their opener to Mexico 83-65. Jackson Jacob led the team in scoring with 13 points on Five-for-14 shooting. Jacob also led the team in the scoring column in their 97-80 loss to Mexico on Monday. He totaled 13 points and dished out three assists. Michael Carey chipped in with a 12-point effort.

The men’s basketball team took on the Dominican Republic in Pool B play yesterday, but those results were not known up to press time.
