Police investigating armed robbery

NIGEL JAMAL FORBES, aka ‘Guy Fawkes’, Wanted and Tavares Demonte Beckford, aka “Foe,’ wanted

Police are investigating reports of an armed robbery that occurred early Sunday (May 12) morning.

According to police information, shortly after 1:00 a.m., police were called to a residence in Queens Cove, where it was reported that two armed males entered a home and robbed a male occupant of personal items and cash before making good their escape.

Police are actively investigating this matter and are appealing to the general public for assistance with any information, no matter how little to contact the Central Detective Unit (CDU) at 350-3107 thru12, 911/919 or call your nearest police station.

Additionally, police are still on the hunt for Nigel Jamal Forbes, 41, also known as “Guy Fawkes” and Tavares Demonte Beckford, 43, also known as “Foe.”

Forbes, who is wanted by CDU for questioning in connection with attempted murder is considered armed and dangerous. He is described as standing at 6'0 in height, weighing 169 lb. with dark brown complexion and of average build.

Anyone with information on Forbes’ whereabouts is asked to call the nearest police station or 911 or 919.

Meanwhile, Beckford is wanted for questioning in connection with murder, say police.

Beckford of Zimbabwe Avenue, New Providence and #8 Frobisher Circle, Freeport is considered to be armed and extremely dangerous.

According to police, Beckford stands at 5'7'' in height, weighs 134 lb. with medium brown complexion and slim build. He also sports a tattoo along the left side of his face of a “Muriel” and another on this neck with the name “Alexya.”

Anyone knowing Beckford’s location should contact police immediately at Central Detective Unit in Grand Bahama at 350-3107 thru 12, Crime Stoppers at 328-TIPS/Family Islands (242) 300-8476, the Emergency numbers 911/919 or call your nearest police station.

In other crime news, officers of the Northern District inclusive of Grand Bahama and Abaco, arrested a number of persons wanted by the Magistrate Court for outstanding warrants in New Providence and Grand Bahama.
