Tragedy hit the settlement of Eight Mile Rock on Monday (June 11). The Freeport News was informed that Adrian Francis, a carpenter and handyman was found dead by his daughter when she came home from school.
The daughter, Adrianna, is an eleventh grade student at Eight Mile Rock High School. Information given to this daily by sources, indicated that the death occurred from earlier in the day.
Royal Bahamas Police Force (RBPF) Assistant Superintendent of Police Public Affairs and Communication Officer (PACO) Terecita Pinder initially informed The Freeport News of the development and classified it as a suicide.
The incident is the latest of tragedies to shock the Eight Mile Rock area.
One man became the island’s latest traffic fatality on June 1, 2018 in the area.
Margaret Smith, a 49-year-old resident of Sea Grape, Eight Mile Rock was stabbed in her home in February 2017 and later succumbed to her injuries.
In September 2015 Barry and Sheena Johnson were murdered at their residence and robbed of a truck and set of keys. The trial for that matter recently ended. It is expected that the police will released more details regarding the death of Huyler.
