Jarol Investment Limited, trading as Chances Games continued on its trend of giving back to its patrons and by extension, the wider community of Grand Bahama, when it again partnered with Quality Auto Sales and Services to raffle a brand-new car, this time a 2018 Suzuki Swift.

On Tuesday, October 24 at the Jarol Investment office on Logwood Road, the proud winner of the company’s latest grand prize, Carey Payoute, received the keys to his brand-new automobile.
Vice President of Jarol Investments Ltd. Darlene Culmer, revealed that Chances family was pleased to have hosted the raffle and encouraged others to participate in future events that they intend to host.

“For over three years we have been raffling cars to our customers, one in Nassau as well as in Freeport. The one in Nassau is for all of our patrons in the Southern Bahamas, while the raffle in Freeport is for all of our patrons in the Northern Bahamas. So everyone has the opportunity to be a winner.”

Culmer noted that Chances’ patrons also have the opportunity to win cash prizes, televisions and computers as well. She encouraged all to participate and take advantage of the ongoing raffles at the gaming house. “You have to play to win … our slogan is ‘Winners take chances; chances make winners,’ some come and play and maybe you will be our next winner.”

Karen Wilson, Chances’ Freeport Branch Marketing Director, shared how the raffle came about and how their customers became eligible to participate in the drawing.

“Today we are presenting our winner with the car that we raffled this past Saturday. We had a raffle that started on August 21 and it ended on October 18. It culminated with a block party, which took place on Saturday. The winner of the car is Carey Payoute and he is here today to receive his car.

“To enter the raffle, our customers had to make a $20.00 purchase and also put at least $20.00 onto their account; they would then be eligible for the raffle.”

Wilson revealed that this is not the first time that Chances has raffled a car and other prizes for their customers, and certainly will not be the last.

“Right after this is finished another one will start. I believe it is good for the economy because we keep the money in Freeport, because we purchase the car locally from Quality Auto. We also give persons on Grand Bahama and each of the other islands the chance to win cash prizes as well, laptops and other prizes as well.”

Wilson said that the grand prize raffle of the car was open to all customers in the Northern Bahamas – Abaco, Bimini, Grand Cay and Grand Bahama.

“Our New Providence locations would cover the Southern Bahamas, which includes Andros, Exuma, Eleuthera, Long Island and Nassau. All of other out island locations also held their own individual raffles for cash prizes. We gave each island a chance to win something.”
Whitfield Bain, Sales Manager, Quality Auto Sales also shared that it was a pleasure to once again partner with Chances Games for the raffle.

“We have been partnering with Chances now for three years and we are happy to be a part of this event. Chances has been giving back to the community, in the form of raffling a car, for the past three years and we at Quality Auto Sales are always happy to partner with them in this regard. Anytime we are able to assist in giving back to the community, it is a good thing and we support them one hundred percent.

“We are thankful and happy that we are here in our community and are in a position to help and strengthen the economy of Grand Bahama,” said Bain.

Payoute was questioned how it felt to receive his prize he responded, “It feels great to be the winner of this 2018 Suzuki Swift.”

Payoute said that he was not at the Block Party on Saturday, but received a phone call that he was the winner of the grand prize, while he was enjoying a game of pool.

“This is not my first time entering a raffle with Chances, but it is my first time winning something.”

He encouraged others to participate in future raffles with Chances as well.
