Since the addition of its Marine Division located on the Fishing Hole Road, Freeport, back in 2017, Fowlco continues to expand with world class services and a growing staff count.
The, now, fully Bahamian owned operation currently employs around 30 team members. Blue Water Shipping and Hellmann’s World Wide are the international affiliates. Juan Sancho and Blue Parrot are no longer affiliated with Fowlco.
According to a company spokesperson, the decision to sever ties “was best for both companies.” Fowlco now boasts 3PL Services, Industrial and Ship Projects facility, Certified Equipment and Operators, Warehousing, Trucking, Port Agency Services, Project Management, Cargo Handling Containers and LCL, and US Exports and Warehouse.
Owners, Curtis and Glennett Fowler, say entry and establishing a name in the business saw countless challenges, but they kept their faith in God and the belief that research, hard work, ongoing training and a commitment to excellence would pay off. Mrs. Fowler, who has a strong background in training and human resources, noted that the shipping and marine industry is a natural fit for Grand Bahama and it is an awesome feeling to be able to employ talented Bahamians and help grow Grand Bahama’s economy.
“More than just profits, we take pride in showing the world that Bahamians have the expertise and dedication to high standards to make a difference in such a competitive field … we are here to fully satisfy clients,” said the Fowler family duo.
The Ministry of Grand Bahama continues to tout Fowlco as a shining Grand Bahama business success story. Fowlco Ltd. (parent company) entered the Grand Bahama market with Fowlco Import Export in 2011, its new Fowlco Marine and Logistic Management Division in 2017 and FIE Exports in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, in 2018.
