Sports a huge lift for Grand Bahama

SPORTS PLATFORM EXPANDING— The expansion of the sports platform in Grand Bahama was emphasized this past Friday with the announcement of two historic events on the horizon; the Commonwealth Boxing Salute (July 11-12, 2018) and the Golden Knights’ Motorcade and Mural Unveiling (April 23, 2018). Bringing remarks at the press conference in the Board Room of the Grand Bahama Port Authority were from left: Vice Chairman of the Grand Bahama Port Authority (GBPA) Sarah St. George; Bahamas Boxing Commission Chairman Fred Sturrup; GBPA president Ian Rolle; Parliamentary Secretary for the Ministry of Works Iram Lewis; Minister of Youth, Sports and Culture Michael Pintard; St. Geroge’s High School Principal Keith Barr; and GBPA Director and City Manager of Building and Development Services and former Olympian Troy McIntosh.
