Police investigating sudden death

Police officials were called to a home in Bahamia on Thursday morning

Heart piercing cries rang out Thursday morning at the discovery of a lifeless body in a home on Suffolk Lane and Pinta Avenue West, South Bahamia.


Royal Bahamas Police Force (RBPF) officers were dispatched to the scene along with EMS personnel, who performed resuscitation techniques to no avail.


Law enforcement officers immediately began conducting preliminary investigations while neighbors, friends and relatives of the deceased desperately tried to maintain their composure and comfort the grief stricken family.


RBPF Public Affairs and Communication Officer (PACO) Inspector Terecita Pinder revealed, “Shortly after 8:00 a.m. police received a report of a sudden death in South Bahamia.


“Upon arrival at the home on Suffolk Lane officers met a young male, who appeared to be lifeless in his residence.


“Presently, the matter has been termed a sudden death until a pathology report determines the exact cause of death.


“Police are actively investigating the matter.”


While no other details were provided by law enforcement officers, this daily has been informed that the deceased is 21-year-old Paul A. Ferrell, a former student of St. Georges High School.


He was described as a humble young man, with a bright and brilliant future that transcended from time into eternity too soon.


RBPF PACO Inspector Pinder noted as investigations continue more information into the matter would be provided to the community.
