Ferguson-Mackey to lead Northern Bahamas BTC Team

Newly Minted VP of the Northern Bahamas Meets with teams in the Northern Bahamas – Following her appointment as Vice President of the Northern Bahamas

After spending years in various leadership roles within the structure of BTC, Eldri Ferguson-Mackey recently brought her talents as marketer and communications specialist to the company’s Northern Bahamas team, as the newly minted Vice President for the Northern Bahamas.  


She is the first woman in the company’s history to serve in this role and will oversee the operations in Grand Bahama, Abaco and Bimini.


Having joined BTC’s ranks back in 2006, Ferguson-Mackey began her career as the Senior Associate Product Development, where she immediately gravitated toward positions of leadership, serving – at varying points – as Product Development Manager and Senior Product Manager. 


During that time, she became responsible for the life cycle management of BTC’s products and profitability business analysis programs. 


Ferguson-Mackey has been equally instrumental in the launch and management of some of BTC most successful products and campaigns. Among them, BTC’s highly touted online bill payment system, Prepaid Top, TDMA to GSM Mobile Migration, which laid the very foundation for the launch of 3G, 4G and LTE Mobile Services which customers currently enjoy and the prepaid electricity plan which is currently being beta tested in Eleuthera.


Her impressive work ethic and leadership capabilities saw her rise quickly through the ranks eventually earning her the role as VP of Marketing in 2014, where she assumed the responsibility of leading all aspects of marketing, brand management and communication strategies for the company.  


During her tenure as VP of Marketing, she aggressively sought after an agenda to increase BTC’s brand presence, build its brand equity and strengthen its ties in the community as an excellent corporate citizen. On a daily basis, BTC benefits from Ferguson-Mackey’s extensive and proven experience in new product innovation and management, brand management, project management, strategic marketing and communications and ‘go to market’ planning. 


Since accepting the role, Ferguson-Mackey has held successful meetings with the various teams, which comprise the Northern Bahamas’ 130 employees, and has already begun the process of integrating into the local community, recently attending the Chamber of Commerce’s installation gala.
